Drinking plenty of water every day is very beneficial for your health and immune system.
The most important drink for health is water. You should drink about 8 glasses of water a day, possibly also in the form of herbal teas. Among other things, it promotes blood flow, which, as we have already seen, plays an important role in the functioning of the immune system. However, sparkling mineral water is not recommended; it is better to drink pure, still water. Too little fluid causes dehydration, which makes the blood more viscous and increases the risk of various infections. It also reduces the number of antibodies. So, try to drink about 2 litres of water a day, or more. Preferably not at mealtimes, but between meals.
Next we would like to mention another aspect that has more to do with treating with water rather than drinking it. Treatment with water in the form of so-called hydrotherapy can also be very helpful. By alternating hot and cold water-showers (so-called alternating showers), the number of circulating white blood cells will increase. First you take a hot shower, perhaps for 2-3 minutes, then you switch to a cold shower for about half a minute, and then you alternate back and forth several times. A little rest afterwards will further increase the effect. Overheated baths can also help, as the heating kills viruses. The German Doctor Sebastian Kneipp, known for his water treatments, said of a healthy lifestyle:
“Health is not achieved in shops, but through a change of lifestyle”
